TillPulse exists because mobile observability tools built in fibre cities make terrible assumptions about everywhere else.
Why we built this
Every existing crash reporter assumes the device has a stable connection, a battery that lasts, and a CPU that didn't ship in 2019. That's a fine assumption in Brooklyn. It's wrong in Lagos.
On a Tecno Spark with 2GB of RAM running 2G in Ibadan, the SDKs you know crash before they ship the crash. Stack frames disappear into ProGuard. Cold-start metrics measure the bundler. Friction goes uncounted because nobody is recording rage taps. ANRs happen so often the dashboard looks broken.
TillPulse starts from the opposite end. Offline-first queue. Bounded battery cost. Native crash + frame jank + ANR on Android API 24+. Cert pinning failure as a first-class signal. PII patterns scoped to the formats your users actually have. Multi-region pinning so events stay in the country they came from.
What we believe
- Software is local. The user's reality, not the engineer's, is the system.
- Privacy is a feature. Two-pass scrubbing, no raw IPs in storage, no model training on your events. Defaults that protect the people you don't think about.
- Observability is a craft. A dashboard should look like an instrument, not an ad.
- Africa is not a market segment. It's a continent of countries with their own networks, regulators, and engineering communities. We treat it as the default, not the edge case.
Where we are
TillPulse is a product of TillAfrica, registered in Kampala, Uganda. Our team is distributed across UTC+0 to UTC+3. Our infrastructure runs in Johannesburg, Frankfurt, and Virginia, and we route customers' projects to whichever is nearest by default.
Status
v1.0 of the platform is live and in production with launch customers. The React Native SDK is production-ready. The Flutter SDK is in active development. The CLI ships with the public release. The companion mobile app for iOS and Android is in beta.
